Duy Lê
Hello! My name is Duy Lê (pronounced Yoo-ee Lei, he/him), and I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri — Columbia. Trained in a rigorous academic setting, I bring experience working with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as familiarity with various treatment modalities. I am excited to be applying my clinical skills at The Oak Center.
In therapy, I strive to foster a safe and compassionate space where clients feel seen in their full, authentic selves. I view my role as a co-learner and steward on each person's unique healing journey — growing alongside and empowering them to forge a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling. I deeply value my clients' lived experiences, identities, and cultural backgrounds, often leaning into these as a guiding compass as we move forward together.
Importantly, I recognize the harmful impact of intersecting systems of oppression, including racism, sexism, cissexism, and transphobia, on individual and collective well-being. I am committed to actively resisting and dismantling these systems in both my professional and personal capacities.
As a student intern, Duy is currently being supervised by Amanda Torrini, MSW, LCSW (License No. 2020041579).
