Rachel Foley, MSOT, OTR/L

Hi, my name is Rachel and I am the Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) here at The Oak Center. I am so excited to be bringing occupational therapy to this wonderful organization. My favorite quote that reflects this service is “Occupational therapy is where science, creativity and compassion collide” - Jessica Kensky. Occupational therapy focuses on the activities you need and want to do on a daily basis and works to help you build skills, adjust routines, and find solutions to improve your ability to engage in those meaningful occupations.

After getting my Associates of Applied Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and Bachelor of Health Science, I worked for five years as a certified occupational therapy assistant. I went on to earn my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University and have since become a registered and licensed occupational therapist. My years of practice have given me experience in a vast array of treatment areas. I have particular interest and experience in treating sensory processing difficulties, interoceptive awareness and self-regulation, executive dysfunction, and early intervention. I am passionate about providing client-centered care that equips the individual and their family with education, support, and strategies that empower them to be independent. My services are available for individuals across the lifespan. Whether working with infants or adults, I am dedicated to fostering growth and well-being so that you can do what matters to you!

I am licensed by the State of Missouri as an Occupational Therapist, certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.

I am a Columbia native and have a strong dedication to the local community. When I am not in the office, I can be found sipping a latte and going thrifting, spending time with family, trying out a new craft, or working my garden.
